व्हाट्सऐप पर बड़े पैमाने पर स्कैम के पीछे फ़र्ज़ी नंबर और वेबसाइटें

भारत में इन दिनों लोगों के पास लगातार आ रही व्हाट्सऐप कॉल के पीछे फ़र्ज़ी नंबर और संदिग्ध वेबसाइटें हैं.

पिछले कुछ सप्ताह से भारत में लोगों के पास व्हाट्सऐप पर अनजान नंबरों से कॉल आ रहे हैं. इनमें विदेशी नंबर भी शामिल होते हैं. कॉल उठाने या कॉल बैक करने पर ऑनलाइन काम देने का वादा किया जाता है.

रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक़, जिन नंबरों से कॉल की जाती है उन्हें बिज़नेस अकाउंट के रूप में पंजीकृत कराया गया होता है.

बहुत से लोग इन फ़र्ज़ी कॉल के चक्कर में फंसकर अपने पैसे गंवा रहे हैं. बड़े पैमाने पर चल रहे इस स्कैम पर अब सरकार की भी नज़र है.

गुरुवार को भारत के सूचना प्रद्योगिकी और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स मंत्री राजीव चंद्रशेखर ने जानकारी दी थी कि सरकार ने इस बारे में व्हाट्सऐप को नोटिस भेजा है.

व्हाट्सऐप का कहना है कि कंपनी इस दिशा में काम कर रही है और उम्मीद है कि इस तरह के फ़र्ज़ी कॉल 50 फ़ीसदी तक कम हो जाएंगे.

रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक़, इन फ़ेक और स्कैम कॉल के पीछे व्हाट्सऐप की ही कुछ ख़ामियां हैं. जैसे व्हाट्सऐप वर्चुअल नंबर से भी अकाउंट खोलने की सुविधा देता है. ऐसे में इन कॉल को ट्रेस कर पाना मुश्किल हो जाता है.

सरकार ने व्हाट्सऐप से पूछा है कि नंबर असली है या नहीं इसकी जांच के लिए वह क्या प्रणाली लागू कर रही है.

मंत्री ने अख़बार से बातचीत में ये भी कहा है कि सूचना प्राद्योगिकी मंत्रालय टेलीकॉम विभाग से ऐसे नंबरों को उपलब्ध कराने वाली वेबसाइटों को भारत में ब्लॉक करने के लिए कहेगा.

मंत्री ने कहा कि अगर व्हाट्सएप फ़र्ज़ी नंबरों से लोगों को अकाउंट पंजीकृत की सुविधा दे रहा है तो मूल रूप से इस तरीक़े में खामी है.

कैसे होता है स्कैम

लोगों को व्हाट्सएप पर कॉल की जाती है और ऑनलाइन काम देने का भरोसा दिया जाता है. शुरुआत में उन्हें वीडियो लाइक करने या सकारात्मक रिव्यू देने के बदले कुछ पैसे दिए जाते हैं.

इसके बाद उन्हें टेलीग्राम ग्रुप में आमंत्रित किया जाता है और बड़े फ़ायदे का लालच देकर निवेश करवाया जाता है. एक बार यूज़र पैसा भेज देता है तो उसे ब्लॉक कर दिया जाता है. आम व्यक्ति के लिए इस स्कैम के पीछे बैठे लोगों तक पहुंचना मुश्किल हो जाता है.

इंडियन एक्सप्रेस की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक़, स्कैम करने वाले लोग तीन तरह से नंबर हासिल करते हैं. वो ऐसी वेबसाइटों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं जो फ़्री में अंतरराष्ट्रीय नंबर जेनरेट करने की सुविधा देती हैं.

इसके अलावा क्रिप्टोकरंसी में भुगतान करके भी वर्चुअल नंबर हासिल किए जाते हैं.

टेलीग्राम और ईबे पर भी ऐसे लोग मौजूद हैं जो इस तरह के नंबर ग्राहकों को बेचते हैं. एक बार वर्चुअल नंबर मिल जाता है तो उसे व्हाट्सएप पर पंजीकृत करा लिया जाता है.
