There were only a few hundred British rulers, yet millions of Indians lived under their rule because enough people chose obedience over resistance.
Today, I see crores of blind followers defending those in power, no matter what happens. To me, that is dangerous for any democracy.
No wonder India remained under foreign rule for centuries. History shows that when people stop questioning authority, freedom suffers.
But our ancestors fought back. Because they fought then, I believe it is my duty to raise my voice today.
I refuse to become a slave to any political leader. I stand against Narendra Modi and his policies because I believe no one is above criticism in a democracy.
